Visa Cash App Racing Bulls (VCARB) Formula One Team is set to overhaul its car design process by using an AI platform from Swiss deep learning firm Neural Concept.
The partnership aims to make the team’s design work faster and more efficient, giving the team an edge in a sport where every millisecond counts.
Neural Concept’s technology claims to help engineers design cars by running high-speed computer simulations. These simulations, which usually take hours, can now be done in seconds, according to the start up, which is a spin-off from prestigious Swiss tech institute EPFL’s computer vision laboratory.
The platform allows engineers to test thousands of different car designs and see which ones perform best in real-world racing conditions, like how wind and temperature affect the car’s speed.
