Oracle Red Bull Racing has furthered its deployment of Oracle’s enterprise applications to update its finance, human resources and customer experience systems.
The UK-based F1 team – which has successfully helped driver Max Verstappen to the Formula One Drivers Championship in the last three seasons – said the modernisation aims to improve operational efficiency and support compliance with the sport’s cost cap regulations.
The Milton Keynes-based manufacturer – which has won six constructors’ championships and eight drivers medals – will use title sponsor Oracle’s integrated cloud platform to connect internal data and reduce its reliance on manual, spreadsheet-based processes.
“With a fixed annual cost cap that we can’t exceed, we need to make every resource go further and manage our operations as efficiently as possible,” said Matt Cadieux, chief information officer at Oracle Red Bull Racing.
“With Oracle Fusion Applications, we can take advantage of the cloud and latest advancements in predictive, generative, and agentic AI to optimise financial planning activities, accelerate business insights, and derive more value and performance from our operating budget.”
The new system aims to give the team a single view of its financial, HR and customer data, helping improve planning, increase transparency, and enable quicker decision-making.
Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management will be used to support budgeting and resource allocation. Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management will simplify HR and payroll processes, as well as support talent recruitment and workforce analysis.
The team already uses Oracle’s customer experience platform to manage fan engagement, including personalised content and loyalty programmes.
“Speed, innovation, and efficiency are essential for success in Formula One,” said Steve Miranda, executive vice president of applications development at Oracle.
“With Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, Oracle Red Bull Racing will be able to embrace continuous innovation and AI-powered automation to support its finance and operations and drive even greater success on and off the track.”
Implementation of the new system will be carried out by Oracle Consulting, with ongoing support from Oracle Customer Success Services.
According to Oracle, the shift to a cloud-based system will allow the team to make better use of its resources within the constraints of F1’s financial regulations, while also supporting broader business functions and improving the employee experience.
